Death Anniversary

Its Kung-Kung's (grandapa's) death anniversary today! And I am writing to commemorate on what a silent hero my grandpa was to me. He was a workaholic..worked his butt of even if he was already weak. He was multi-lingual, he knew how to speak 5 languages...english, tagalog, french, spanish, let along 4 dialects of chinese! He was a conservative..forgoing a business deal of a life time that could have changed the course of my family history, but chose to remain simple and do his best with what he was good at. At, the age of 86, He died with his hair still black...yup! au natural...i hope i inherit this gene from him! Though I remember him vaguely, and the fact that I wasn't really his favorite grandchild, he is still an insperation to me.

Work Issues

Tonight, I resigned from other other work as a spinner for a play that I was suppose to be doing with the theater group musikat entitled "saranggola ni pepe" It would have been a good production except for some issues between the cast and the production team...translated...the cast being envious of the production team that they do their bashing behind everyone's back instead of solving their concerns or issues with us.

ON A SERIOUS NOTE...
The gravity of the issue rose when the choreographer himself also quit the show right after the whole production team did. At least we know who the attitude problem was coming from. I really don't understand why some so called "artists" can be so over their heads even if they have nothing to justify their actions with. Who do they think they are? Di naman sila sikat!!!! Helloer!
My SM ever cried foul for a bashing meeting session against her when she wasn't even there to defend herself. To make things worse, the basher just made up the issue just for the sake of bashing her. Cast, particularly the Alikabot people, if you didn't like us in the first place, you should have said so. How very unprofessional of you to be such brats! No wonder you were never praised for your plays. Just look at the attitude you show.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY
I do not like brats, nag-fefeeling brats at walang karapatang maging brat!

Baggages

It sucks sometimes to have old baggages that never cease to haunt you. Especially when it comes to people you've dealt with in the past (and i mean not so nicely) and thought you left them there...to find out all of a sudden that they want to "pick-up where you left off". Especially when its some who you used to love and probably still do in a subconcious way. I hate this feeling! I hate it more because I can't stop this feeling....feeling for so long. Oh Crap...bygones=)

Joy Ride

As I move on to my night trip to visit Eka in Alabang, it struck me not to pass thru edsa but to pass thru vito cruz instead. Again, i fail to heed to the warning in my head thus, lo and behold, traffic befalls me on a friday evening in edsa. The cause? Vehicular Accidents between a) private car & truck, and b) 2 public buses. It took me about 45 mins before I can get off edsa to get to the south super highway just to be greeted by 1) more traffic towards the south and 2) an earthquake while on top of the fly over with trucks surrounding you. Oh, hell, thus, another joy ride has taken its place this evening and I had to canel my trip. (so sorry Kai, thanks for understanding). Its 11:30 and I just got home, nursing a cold and eating my craving for the day -- chocolate mousse! And ranting about my not so joyful joy ride. Smiling moment : Jerry Yan's New billboard add for bench.

ON A LIGHTER NOTE...
Mom leaves for HK tomorrow am...and I'm not included. Oh well, happy trip!

THOUGHT OF THE DAY...
When do I get to watch Raising Helen? I'm excited to watch House of Flying Daggers though.

Ranting on A Discovery Website

SEARCH FOR A HOST...
Discovery's Travel and Adventure channel announce about a month ago about their asian search for a new host for their globe trekker series. I wanted to try it out but up until now, their website is down and I can't get any details on how to join from this part of asia. Useless trying to log on as their advertise cuz their's nothing to see but java scripting. I've written to them twice already but nothing is being done up until now. Seems like they're not really intrested in getting hosts from this country and in some other asian countries. Only Singapore and Malaysia get to have live auditions for this search.

ON A LIGHTER NOTE...
Its monday and I'm lazy again...gotta get my butt moving. Muscles still ache like hell. That's what I get from overdoing exercises in the gym...especially when I haven't been to the gym for a month. Hehe. At least I shed off a pound on my overweight structure and an inch of my bloated waist. 14 more pounds, 3 more inches and I'll be as good as fit again.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY...
And counting, 15 mega zits on my face! Its this new medicine that's suppose to bring out all your pimples and dry them out. I hope it does it soon! I am thinking of getting my face pricked on by the dermatologist. Ouch!

Kris vs Cris

THE NAME GAME...
Just speaking of admiration for her mother and brother yesterday, I encountered Kris Aquino on the tv set ranting about an issue on the use of her name. THE ISSUE? As stupid as it can be, it all started out with the youngest son of Senator Lito Lapid (a former action star) being accommodated to the world of showbiz. Apparently, they wanted the son to have a short 4-letter stage name because the seems to be lucky for the Lapid clan. They decided on the use of the name Cris Lapid. Apparently, Kris Aquino now complained about it (and yes, she had a past relationship with one of the older lapid sons) ranting that it was unfair on her part because her "name" was being used just to popularize the new comer...and that its already a patent name...WAIT A MINUTE...did you have your name registered at the DTI? Besides, the name is spelled with a C, not a K! There are other actors who have the same first names but different last names and nobody every complained about one using the popularity of the other. THE HELL! Your being weird is excusable but your being selfish and illogical is not. Shame on you for picking on or bulling a new comer just like that. People like you should be thrown to the sahara desert and never return. Such selfishness.

ON A LIGHTER NOTE...
Found a really nice show on discovery too. About the real story of King Tut. Very intresting!
Murder-detective story of their time.

Watched some reruns of the Amazing Race 3...reminiscing on how much Flow doesn't deserve to win. Only Zach. Finally, I get to watch the Amazing Race 4...true enough to everyone's comments, this race did have pretty boring competitors. I wounder when do I get to race around the world?

Rene leaves tomorrow for the Disney Roadshow to be stages in HK. I wish I can go!!!! I just feel bad that he has the flu today and yet he will have to be working his butt off the week ahead. Don't forget my pasalubong...i heard William's cute...hehehe

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY...
I wanna go to Hongkong!!!

Surprise Visit

WHILE I WAS WAITING...
for the cast of Saranggola to arrive at the rehersal venue, a bunch of people whom i didn't know suddenly comes in chatting lively. When i did a double take, it was no other than former president cory herself with her son noynoy and his friends. I greeted them a good afternoon and entertained their questions. It turns out, they knew about the play wanted to watch the rehersals. And of course they had a right to be in the venue as it was their family's meeting house anyway. Hehe.

ON AN ENCOURAGING NOTE...
I was amazed with their warmth amids their political status. Most politicians I met are either very stiff, stubborn, or just plain arrogant. Warm and genuine politicians are just a handful these days. I think those are the type of politicians we needs more than ever. Why? Because those are the politicians who know how to empathize with the people and their needs. The arrogant ones only care about themselves, the profits they can reap and the power that they can harness being so called "leaders of the society. NO wonder, amids her not so impressive political knowledge on things, the Former president was still able to stabilize the economy.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY...
So where in the world did Kris Aquino inherit her stubborn ways? I wouldn't even picture her as being part of the Cojuango nor Aquino family because of her "exotic" personality. Bygones...
