I AM PISSED.

This is the 2nd time this month that my mom is blaming me for stealing money. I don't know what's wrong with her! Menopause I assume but that's not an excuse no more. I'm the one earning a lot of money so why should I need to steal from them? The HELL!!! Even if there are times that I over budget stuff, I still don't ask any money from them. My mom even suggets that I may have a sickness -- kleptomania!!!! hello!!! And then she assumes that I've been angry at her since forever! THE HELL AGIAN! You don't know me. Shame on you.

A NOTE...
Even then, she's still my mother. What can I do? I still have to accept her for her faults. Oh
well, I hope this resolves soon, I do wana go back to Hongkong without having to pay for the fair...hehe

THOUGHT OF THE DAY...
Love is patient, love is kind. My love for my mother is unconditional, its something that everyone in their hearts must find.

Boring Day

It's another boring day for me. And I've got work again tomorrow evening. Not really excited though. Nothing much happening. Gave a shirt that I fell in love with to a good friend. Glad that he liked it too! I just wished they had a dress or blouse version with the same fabric. Just read an email from Paul, one of the oldies of Santugon. Very inspiring guy. Will pray for your little family.

A NOTE...
Fettish for the month...old rose color...the sex and the city color....i wonder why...

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY...

I am bored to death.

Mooncake Festival

HONORING THE MOON GODDESS...
Today is the moon cake festival. A day for chinese people to honor the moon goddes for good luck and good fortune. I remember learning about it in grade school but now, I actually forgot how the story goes. Oh well, memorizing mandarin that was being explained to you in hokkien wasn't really that educational at all and a waste of money.

I love it when the moon is full. Looks so beautiful and bright especially from my window. Its very beautiful too when I see it over at the Manila Bay. I wish I could take a picture of it some day.

ON A SERIOUS NOTE...
Watching the news gave me new input on young chinese people's attitue towards the festival (those based in taiwan, china and hk). I found out that a lot of them don't really celerate the festival anymore. They just give for the sake of tradition but would like rather give other alternative gifts moon cakes. Its just sad. Probably the effect of globalization that fails to localize things.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY...
This is the start of a huge identity crisis.

Anniversary

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad! 26 years and still rocking! Love you!

ON A SERIOUS NOTE...
Its martial law day too! This was the day that the former president marcos declared martial law in 1972. And the rest they say is history...This day was the day that my parents decided to get married 6 years later, thinking that September 21 would eventually be a permanent holiday. Unfortunately, they were wrong. Sorry!

I also went to Eka's church service in Alabang today. Really good topic about blessings and curses. But what I enjoyed more was watching the speaker...she really reminded me of Cruela De Vill, but the nicer version of course!=)

THOUGHT OF THE DAY...
God knows what good things to give you. He knows exactly what you want. Yet, He would rather you ask it from Him to make sure that you really want it, and you shall receive it.

We were kidding her around with "Hey Al! Where's your hubby shrek?" Hehehe...And the honey moon? The beautiful island of bali, indonesia! Sama ako!

ON A LIGHTER NOTE...

On Call Centers

RANTING ON CONVERGYS...
As much as I passed the interviews and exams that this call center gave, I was very disappointed with their job offer orientation which I attended last wednesday eavening. I expected it to hopefully answer questions I had in order for me decide whether to accept their offer for part time work or not. It turns out that the orientation given only answered to the full time aspiring applicants. The person in-charge of the part timers, a certain JENNY SY, was not present during the orientation, even if she held the answers to the questions of the aspiring part timers. What made things worse was most of these part timers where given different answers as to the work and training schedules that we would be required to do. And what ever this JENNY SY person was saying was different from what the contract stated. So all of us part timers ended up not signing our contracts in the hope of being able to speak with JENNY SY. We were given her contact nos. and shift schedule to do that.

Yet to add up to my disappointment, the office no that was given is always only being picked up by a recorded message and not directed to the operator, she does not answer her email and she didn't show up at makati where she was supposed to have been stationed today. Me and the other part timers who went there that day ended up with nothing. On my part, I had to wait 30 mins just to be told by that STUPID receptionist JANICE that "Ms. Jenny will call you here after her interview." Had I not asked her after waiting for 30 mins, she would have not told me what the status of Jenny Sy was! I decided to ask the receptionist to ask that JENNY person to call me instead as I will not waste my time anymore waiting for nothing. JANICE even had the guts to ignore me when I politely as her what her name was. Oh boy did I want to wring her neck BIG TIME! I swear she is so ineffecient as prior to this incident, on my final interview at the same makati office, she let me wait for 45 FREAKING MINUTES before being interviewed (my interview was at 9:30, I started at 10:15) saying that "Ms. Tracy is still interviewing someone." when 45 minutes later, ms. Tracy comes out of the elevator greeting people saying she came from STARBUCKs on a break and that the STUPID & INEFFECIENT RECEPTIONIST, JANICE didn't tell her that she had an interview schedule at 9:30! Talk about ineffeciency! I hope she gets fired right away!!! The security guard was even more effecient than she was!

MORE RANTING...
And the ineffecient JENNY SY? So far she hasn't called me at all. Looks like she won't. I take it as a sign from God that this job isn't just meant for me. If she calls, then it is but if not, then, that means there are better and more fun jobs waiting for me out there. I got to pay up my credit card bills soon! Its not funny any more and not professional at all! Shame on you! Calling on all IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE....makarma sana kayo 10,000 times over.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY...
If its meant for me, its meant to be.

The Next Pit Stop...

PREDICTIONS...
that came true for today's episode of the amazing race 5...
prediction #1 - the next pit stop will be a non-elimination round thus last team to arrive will have to surrender their money...
prediction #2 - the next pit stop will be in manila while the episode after in palawan...and sort of but not quite...Colin getting messed up by the karabao

THOUGHT OF THE DAY...
Be kind to animals and they will be kind to you in return. Disrespect them, and they will mess up your race! Hehehe...kudos to Colin for being a great example to that.

Cleopatra's

COMIN' AT YA...
Thru your tv screens thru the Hallmark Channel. Finally, after trying to catch rerun after rerun, I was able to watch the complete series. I really admire how hallmark are able to produce these amazing movies for television one of which was Cleopatra. What I love about the movie most were the costumes that Cleopatra wore. Very soft, flowing and free. Feminine, simple and elegant yet very regal and powerful. I just want to have my gowns made similar to that of Cleopatra's as I feel that they represent my unique personality. Better get a copy of that so I can have the gowns copied in the future...hehehe...

ON A LIGHTER NOTE...
I want to work at HK Disneyland!!! It seems to be such a cool place to work. Yet, one requirement that makes me think twice from applying is that...most, if not all positions require applicants to be fluent AT LEAST in both english and cantonese!!! Crap! And my Cantonese it not that updated anymore! Its been nearly a decade since I set foot on the land of the workaholics and shoppaholics...my second home on planet earth. And I miss it dearly! Yet, I will not let the language barrier stop me from applying...bahala na si batman! I really wanna relocated to Hong Kong for now. Practice more of my independence and get to meet more people from various cultures and backgrounds. Also, I miss seeing popa (great grandmother). It is unfortunate though that I won't be able to due to her passing last 2001.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY...
Have faith in your dreams and some day, your rainbow will come shining thru. - from one of the Disney fair tales

Belly Flapping

AT THE UAAP...
As I channel surfed, I chanced upon the UAAP cheering competition. One thing that made me laugh really hard was when an Atenean cheer dancer came cartwheeling to the front row in the center of the formation. She landed perfectly on her feet once in front but low and behold...I SEE BELLY FLAPPING!!!! She looked as if she was 5 months pregnant! And it was the least expected thing for me to see especially in a cheering competition! What made it worst was that...she wasn't the only one doing belly flaps! Her co-cheer dancers as well had their share of the belly flapping! Belly dancing may be the new craze in town but they surely aren't a sight to behold in cheerleading competitions!

ON A SERIOUS NOTE...
Amids the belly flapping, I was pretty impressed with all teams because I can now see that the standards for cheerdancing has really elevated. A lot of the music mixing was done well and I could see more variety in their pyramid formations. What a sight it was for me to see the boys of my alma mater's pep squad actually dancing! Of course the other schools would always get away with the medals as they usually send their dance troupe, and not pepsqaud, to do their cheering routines. No rules against that but it would be a fairer game if they did send their pep squad instead of dance troupe. Guess its all about the money then isn't it?

I suggest watching the Japanese Cup in the Japanese channels. They are really really good! Their routines are super in sync!!! They even have cute cheerdancer outfits on!

THOUGHT OF THE DAY...
I better start working out on my abs again! Hehehe!

In Commemoration

911 A NEW MEANING...
While the rest of America commemorates this day of tragedy when their American spirits fell because the muslims were able to outsmart their high and mighty egos, I turn to pray for the innocent souls of those whose lives were taken and those who may find it hard to go on with live because they lost the people that they love. May they all find the peace that is due all of us.

On A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE...
Flash back year 2001, mom's bedroom, TV turned on to fox news, 9 pm, eastern time. As I sat on the bed with eyes glued to the tv monitor and hands busy texting different friends about what I was seeing on tv, some thoughts came to me on how ingenious this attack that the so-called terrorists unleashed on the US of A. It was one of those moments that, amids the tragedy and lost of lives, I couldn't help but applaud those terrorist for showing those egoistic Americans that they are only HUMAN and not GODS. It just irritates me sometimes, on how these Americans (well, some but not all) always think that they are so high and mighty and up there and that every one else bows down to them to kiss their ugly feets. The attack actually showed how the US was not so INVINCIBLE as they always think themselves to be. Not that I'm for the attacts, (disclaimer: i am anti war and anti terrorist), just in awe at one of the greatest war strategies ever carried out since Japan attacked the US by suprise in Pearl Harbor which prompted the start of WWII.

THOUGHTS OF THE DAY...
History repeats itself, but each time the price goes up. -anonymous
Wars divide us, peaces brings us togather...make peace...not war.

One Job Coming Up!

JOB HUNTING...
Its been more that a year since I passed my resume around to look for possible jobs. And today, I land on another potential part time job...in the call center. Ever since I started job hunting, I vowed never to apply nor enter into a call center. But, desperate times do call for desparate measures. Besides, what promted me to apply for this particular call center was that it actually had part time jobs available. An to my suprise and delight, it was during the day and just a walking distance to my house. How convenient can it get?

After passing the simulation exams, I was suprised to even be recommended for tech support (i just applied for CSR) which is plus points to my tech knowledge. Up next, the final interview. Wish me the best of luck! More so the best of schedules and salary.

Next Pit Stop

THE AMAZING RACE...
Last five teams so far, and off they go to New Zealand. This, in my opinion is by far the easiest leg of the race. Teams just basically booked tickets, flew their respective planes, drove cars to reach their next clues of which there was only 1 very easy detour to do...sledge down the river or have a natural mud bath! Even the single road block in the race was easy, rolling down the hills inside a ball...i wonder if those hills were used in the LORT filming...they look strangely familiar. Finally, the twins get eliminated! One more "My Not So Favorite Teams" off my list! Yipee! That's what you get for lying about your booking.

ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RACE...
It must be a herculean task to be editing those scenes for television purposes, especially during the first few legs of the race. Just imagine, 11 teams mean AT LEAST 11 camera angles and footages to view, edit and put together to produce a great show. Not to mention, trying to put in an interesting story board based on raw race footages to make each episode more intresting to look forward to. To the editors of amazing race, i salute you! Yet, I'd rather be part of the on location camera crew...free travel, accomodations and not to mention you get paid for doing your job!

PREDICTIONS FOR THE NEXT EPISODE...
1 - the next pit stop will be a non-elimination round thus last team to arrive will have to surrender their money.
2 - the next pit stop will be in manila while the episode after in palawan
3 - all remaining teams will hit the beautiful beaches of palawan in their sexiest swim suit.
4 - my greatest wish (though may not likely to happen) colin getting poo on him from the karabao! hehehe...

Rice Surprise

RICE REFORMS ABROAD...

Its just sad that we have all these natural resources within our mids yet we fail to cultivate enough knowledge and resources to turn these resources from some things that we just plainly use to reinventing them into some other means wherein the country and its people can profit and benefit from. If Japan has rice crackers for snacks, Germany now has already reinvented rice by selling it as a breakfast cracker. Who knows what more other non-rice producing countries might come up with? Its such a shame.

ON A SERIOUS NOTE...
Besides the tourism industry, I believe that the government should concentrate more on reviving and futher improving the agricultural industry of the country. We have all the resources (i.e. good weather, good soil) to make that industry boom which could eventually help us out of our debt. Why not nurture it? Instead of concentrating and depending on foreign investements to help build our nation, concentrate and believe in the world renound praise of the Filipino skill and talent.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY...
Why look outside when the answer is just within?

It's Not Fun Being a Bum

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO...
It's been more that 2 months since I quit my regular job and I need to find work now. Got lotsa bills to pay! I just hate it when my clients fail to pay me on time. It disrupts my payment schedules for my bills.

MORAL LESSON...
Do not over spend what you thought you would be able to pay right away cuz you never know what money problems may suddenly hit you. Now, its my first time ever to pay for interest on my bills, I just broke my clean record. Hey, but then again, my credit card company is partially at fault too! LATE ARRIVAL OF MY BILLING!!!! That's not nice.

Movie Ban at SM Cinemas

RANTING OF THE BOLD STARS...
On the rumor that sprouted that SM mall owners are now born-again christians, SM management has declared that they will no longer show bold movies in their cinemas all across the country. Bold movie producers and their actors went on a rage claiming that that would cause the down fall the Philippine movie industry. I begged to disagree!

ON A SERIOUS NOTE...
I don't understand why the movie industry raises this banning issue on a pessimistic level. I thought, finally, someone's concerned for the well fare of the Filipino mind! I'm sick and tired of bold movies that mean nothing and actually contributes to the already sub-standard thinking ability of the general Filipino population. For once some institution is giving the movie industry an opportunity to raise their level of producing films. Why can't they just appreciate it? And then they complain that their films are not good enough for international release. Ay nako!

THOUGHT OF THE DAY...
shallow bold movies = porn movies...go BOLD by raising the standards of producing quality Filipino movies...feed the Filipino mind with substance not trash.

Goodbye Milton

GOODBYE FRIEND...
Rowie threw a small intimate party for her boyfriend Milton today. Even if i only met him once, it was a rarety for me to find a very mature, intelligent yet laid back person of which i can talk to about any topic under the sun. What makes this guy even more facinating is that he is a MAN, not a boy but a man and THE man for Rowie. I could have never been happier for Rowie as she really found her match in this man. Sadly, he is to leave on sunday...Bon Vouyage Milton! Till we meet again...in India perhaps for you and Rowie's monsoon wedding? Hehehe...

THOUGHT OF THE DAY...
My mind is blank from the alcohol of last night's party, but it doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it!=)

Russian Carnage

MORE TERRORIST ATTACKS...
This is getting worse. And its not a pretty sight. Now children are getting involved and by the hundreds this time. I feel enraged that this is happening to them. Is there anything else we can do?

ON A SERIOUS NOTE...
Anti-terrorist organizations should shape up by being one step ahead of the terrorist to prevent future hostage, bombing, kidnapping and other situations from happening again and agian. We are talking about lives now, not commodities like oil or taking sides nor "redeeming" a country. LIVES.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY...
The price of freedom costs a lot. The price of life? Priceless.
